Permanent Things is the culmination of seven years of work and waiting. From an early demo of "needs & wants" released in August 2017 to this small collection of thoughts and feelings, May 2024.

Thank you to John and Mariel for taking these songs seriously and bringing all sorts of weirdness to them that I would never have conceived of on my own. Y'all are so cool.

Travis, thank you for joining me on this odd journey of a project, for being patient and offering solid ideas, and for being an excellent drummer (except at medium speeds). I promise to only write 200bpm and faster from here on out.

And to Miriam, thank you for lending a hand with the album art.
